I was staring out of my hotel window at the old stone streets and buildings of Orvieto, Italy. I felt such peace and relaxation, and I thought about all of the history that those walls have seen throughout the centuries. It was the most beautiful city I had ever visited, that is until I found myself in Venice a few days later. The beauty, majesty, and history surrounding me in St. Mark’s Square filled me with awe. Experiencing Europe with my family when I was thirteen had a tremendous influence on me and my perspective on the built environment. Since then, I have been tirelessly honing my abilities in the pursuit of architectural knowledge. Every day I am learning how we use design to create positive experiences for others.

With an undergraduate degree at Southern Illinois University and Carbondale, a masters degree at the University of Michigan, and now three years of practice experience in Chicago area firms, I am finally fulfilling my dream of starting my own business. It is my goal to continue working with other architects, designers, engineers, and contractors to produce architecture that not only fulfills functional needs, but also reflects a unique and personal relationship to its users. I want to give people an environment that responds intelligently to the way we live and inspires us on a daily basis.

Though a business that allows me to help other professionals succeed, I am excited to meet more people like me who are determined to deliver great work to their clients.
